Recognition That Warms Our Hearts... and the Forest!

Recognition After the Effort

The Boucher Forest Foundation is first and foremost dedicated to fulfilling its mission, guided by its core values. Like most non-profit organizations, we never expect to receive awards or public recognition for our work. But when it happens, it is truly encouraging and deeply appreciated!

In 2022, during its first major fundraising campaign, the Foundation was honoured with two awards.

2022 Excelor Awards Gala

The Foundation received the 2022 Excelor Award for Social Economy Enterprise of the Year, presented by the Gatineau Chamber of Commerce at the end of October.

Being recognized by Gatineau’s business community was both unexpected and greatly appreciated. It also reflects the strong support of many of our major partners, who are part of this community and help drive our local economy. In the end, it is a team effort that reaches well beyond the boundaries of the forest.

2022 David Award

One month later, on December 2, the Foundation received a David Award from the Regroupement des organismes communautaires de l’Outaouais (RAPHO) for its universal access trail.

The event, held at the Lac-Beauchamp Pavilion, was an opportunity to meet many organizations like ours that work to improve services for people with reduced mobility across the region. We also had the opportunity to speak with Marc St-Amour of Loisir sport Outaouais, pictured on the right, one of our long-standing partners.
